Fashion on the Field is one of the most anticipated parts of Holbrook Races — where style, flair, and personality meet the racing action. Whether you're dressing to impress or simply want to enjoy putting together a race-day look, this competition is for everyone.

Fabulous prizes are up for grabs for winners in each category, so get ready to strut your stuff!

How to Enter

Look out for our roaming fashion scout in the morning — they’ll hand out entry numbers to anyone with a standout outfit. You can also nominate yourself! Then, gather at the designated staging area before judging begins.

Judging Criteria

Judges will be looking across several aspects, including:

  • Season-appropriate style — Colours, fabrics and silhouette suitable for the weather and time of year

  • Originality & Personality — An outfit that shows creativity, personal style and confidence

  • Attention to detail — Shoes, accessories, headwear, grooming all pulled together

  • Overall presentation — How well everything works together (outfit, millinery, makeup/hair, posture)

  • Suitability for a country race day — Dress modestly, avoid overly revealing or evening-wear style pieces
